My being is the medium, my life is the stage.
Before MTTRVRSE had a name, it existed as a hidden universe inside the imagination of a kid staring at the ceiling, drawing characters, creating powers, replaying battles in his head, and wondering what it would feel like to transform. Like many kids raised on anime, superheroes, sci-fi, hip-hop, and tokusatsu, Kenneth dreamed of becoming something greater than ordinary — a Power Ranger that could go Super Saiyan. A hero capable of transformation. A being able to channel emotion, energy, imagination, and struggle into power. But over time, something deeper revealed itself: Those worlds created in private were never “just imagination.” They were signals from within. DKMTR — pronounced “DarkMatter” — was born from that realization. Dark matter is invisible, yet it shapes entire galaxies. In the same way, unseen emotions, memories, dreams, fears, imagination, and experiences shape people’s inner worlds long before they ever become visible to others. MTTRVRSE — pronounced “Matterverse” — became the name for that hidden inner universe. A place where creativity becomes power. Where emotion becomes energy. Where imagination becomes transformation. Inspired by afrofuturism, anime, tokusatsu, sci-fi, hip-hop culture, philosophy, mythology, education, and visual storytelling, MTTRVRSE was created as an evolving creative ecosystem designed to help people explore the universe already living within them. At its core, the philosophy is simple: Everyone has a power. Not always loud. Not always obvious. Sometimes hidden beneath fear, pressure, doubt, trauma, distraction, or survival. The question is: Can you become aware of the subtle nuances shaping your life? Can you recognize the unseen energy within yourself? Can you express what exists inside you — even when you do not fully understand it yet? MTTRVRSE exists to help people explore those questions through: storytelling art music worldbuilding workshops symbolic systems emotional expression imagination and creative experimentation through the MTTRVRSE card deck and immersive multimedia experiences. The universe was built for: artists searching for their voice students building confidence creators overwhelmed by ideas dreamers navigating uncertainty outsiders trying to understand themselves and anyone who has ever felt like they were creatively fumbling in the dark Because the darkness is not emptiness. The darkness is possibility. And sometimes the worlds we create to entertain ourselves as children become the blueprint for who we are meant to become. MTTRVRSE is about making what goes unseen and unnoticed visible — making it matter. Not just by consuming stories. But by becoming the creator of your own.
My Purpose
I close the distance between your internal world and the physical realm. Within DKMTR, I advocate that every unique feeling or story I harbor—and you harbor—must be seen. My MTTRVRSE universe is a modular framework I built to help you turn raw ideas into a structured and interactive form of creative self-expression.
